Dear friends and readers,

You're looking at the biggest news for this month! Welcome to the launch of the new and improved
web space for Sunspot Press and Ann Pai.

I've made space for some new projects I expect to share with you before the end of the year.
Sunspot Press -- cross your fingers for me -- will not be a one-book press forever! More details in a
later letter.

Second, I've added more of my
personal writing to the site. Some are pieces that I've published
elsewhere and don't intend to sell again. Some are pieces that I'm bringing straight to you.

What else? Come sign up for
The Sunburst newsletter. Short and sweet, it arrives every other month
to your inbox. It features quick picks of good books, cool web sites, and volunteer ideas, as well as a
snapshot book or author review and a feature I call "The Reset Button," showing how small changes
in thinking about your body can make a big difference in your life.

Now, for those of you who keep asking how things are REALLY going.

The first book is seeing slow but steady sales and new interest, thanks to some speaking
engagements and some fantastic word-of-mouth from you, the readers. Over the past few months
I've gotten to speak to groups of medical clinicians about the patient experience as a woman dealing
with weight, fat, and disordered eating.

The new book, which has been researched to the end of my patience, is actually... I'm almost too
superstitious to say it... being written. Which means a bunch of gibberish with occasional "hey, I can
probably use that" nuggets is flooding out onto the screen. Thank goodness.

And that's the news. Now, champagne flutes up! Here's to our projects and our passions: may they
grant us lives rich in joy, satisfaction, and friendships!

Cheers,
Ann Pai
